SpliceCom’s IP Softphone for iPad, iPhone and Android smart phones and tablets has been shortlisted as a finalist for the prestigious Comms Business Awards, in the Most Innovative Channel Product (On Premise Software Application) section.

The winners will be presented with their awards on Thursday 20^th June at the Lancaster Hotel, Hyde Park, London.

iPCS turns mobile devices into highly functional system phone extensions, making them ideal Office Mobility replacements for existing DECT wireless systems, or as a BYOD upgrade for SIP/WiFi phones. 

SpliceCom are inviting prospective customers to come and view their new telephone system on the production line at their manufacturing plant, located in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.

“The feedback we receive post-sale clearly identifies that many prospective customers view the fact that we’re a British company who manufacture their products in the UK as a key factor when they’re considering the purchase of SpliceCom technology,” says Stuart Bell, Business Development Manager for the UK and Ireland.

“As such, we’re inviting our channel partners to bring along their larger prospective customers to actually witness the system they’re interested in purchasing being made - after all how many customers will have had the opportunity to visit a high-tech manufacturing facility? And with Meeting/Boardroom facilities on-hand, there’s also the opportunity to conclude a well-planned visit with a hands-on product demonstration,” concluded Bell.

St. Luke’s Hospice has been caring for thousands of terminally ill patients, across Plymouth, South West Devon and East Cornwall, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for the past 30 years. Like many similar organisations the Hospice has grown from small beginnings to the position they find themselves in today; a major organisation spread across three major sites, running 34 separate charity shops.

St Luke’s communications infrastructure had grown in a similar manner to the organisation itself, to the point where they were using two completely separate telephone systems from two different manufacturers - one which they managed themselves and one which was the responsibility of the local NHS hospital. SpliceCom's latest maximiser v3.2 software release sees the introduction of Manager Assist v2, further enhancing the British manufacturer's "ease-of-management" commitment by building on the existing set of administration tools. Ten completely new aids have been introduced, alongside an easy-to-use front-end menu, which divides the new and existing tools into three distinct areas; Configuration, System Checks and System Backup.

In addition a fourth, all new Wizard section has been added.
